Susquehannock vs. Red Lion

| Thursday, December 23, 2010

The first half of the meet was lackluster on the part of Susquehannock. There just wasn't much in the way of passion in the swims. The second half, however, something clicked and nearly all the Susquehannock swimmers seemed to come alive, whether it was swimming or cheering teammates on. Meet photographs can be found here.

Susquehannock vs. Dallastown

| Thursday, December 16, 2010

Susquehannock held up really well and had an excellent meet, even though the deck, so to speak, was stacked against them. This year, Susquehannock is a good sized team with alot of new swimmers, while Dallastown is a good sized team with alot of experienced swimmers. Susquehannock's lone victory of the night came in the Men's 100 Breaststroke. Photographs from the meets can be found here.

Swim Practice v2

| Tuesday, December 7, 2010

The team did quite a bit of kicking at practice this evening. After awhile, my legs hurt just from watching them. Did I mention the team kicked a lot during practice? Some swimmers are better at pulling, others are better at kicking, and other kinda go their own pace no matter what. It's interesting to watch. And now, without further ado, I present the kicking swim team!

Swim Practice

| Thursday, December 2, 2010

The swim team (men's & women's combined) has about 50 swimmers this year. Which is quite a few more than last year, and the largest team in the recent memories of many. With so many swimmers, I thought it would be advantageous for me to attend a practice or two, with camera in hand, to get a feel for the swimmers. Knowing a little bit about how each person swims, gives me a bit of an edge when it comes to photographing them during a meet. Chandler & Kyle, two swimmers I've worked with in the past, had interesting reactions during the dry-land portion of practice. Enjoy the photographs!

Meet the Team Night

| Wednesday, December 1, 2010

Ah yes, the ever infamous Meet the Team Night. Where every athlete and coach for the season announces who they are. Not exactly the most exciting event ever, but it gets the job done. The real meat-and-potatoes gets accomplished after the introductions when the teams breakout into their respective meetings. These are a few photographs from that night.
