Markey Wedding & Reception

The wedding of Ben & Katie was a very good one, methought. And in spite of the July heat and humidity, which thankfully abated after the sun set, a grand time was had by all. I find weddings to be interesting events. Because of their importance and formal nature, everything must be "just so." And yet, personalities shine through. This helps to make each wedding unique, and certainly keeps the photographer on their toes. As I eschew poses, I find it much more enjoyable to shoot second and capture the moments in between the "official" moments. With that being said, it's now the opportune time to browse the web gallery. Cheers!

July 4th Parade

Parades and gatherings on the 4th of July are a bit of a tradition. They're always a great excuse to bring out the camera, and this parade and fireworks display proved not to disappoint. The parade was quite good, and it included the first septic truck I've ever seen in a parade, which was quite unique. Above is a brief selection of photographs from the event. Debb Birthday Party

I almost didn't go to this party. I had just finished getting through all of my photographs from B*Dazzled's Dance Shows, and I just wanted to sit, relax, and do not much of anything for a bit. On the other hand, I had been in front of my computer for too many hours, and I needed to get out... which made Debb's surprise birthday party the perfect excuse. Debb was taken fairly by surprise, which was the intention (obviously). Everyone had a grand time hanging out, celebrating Debb's birthday, and spending time with people we don't see quite as often as we'd like.

Ben's Bachelor Party

Ben's Bachelor Party was excellent. Everyone had a great time just hanging out, drinking soda, eating chips, and shooting clay pigeons (to varying degrees of success). After running out of shotgun shells, and picking up the unbroken clay pigeons, we all headed over to Ski Roundtop for dinner. Ben had helped build the deck we sat on for dinner, and I am pleased to report that it successfully held together. The web gallery contains all the photographs from the party. Enjoy!

I've just gotten through my photographs from the first half of the B*Dazzled show. Photographs from the second half of the show will be available in a few more days. (It takes awhile to get through the nearly 3,000 photographs I took during the show).
There were some really great performances, and I tried to include everyone in my photographs. Once again, the Big Hitters were a big hit. And the beginners classes had some snazzy costumes to go along with their performances. Enjoy the photographs!
